Harding Track and Field Camp

Distance, Sprint, Hurdles and Field Event Training. Beginning at an early age brings great advantages thru adolescence and teaches discipline and perseverance.

Event Instruction in all areas

Athletes will be grouped with those of similar abilities. 

Fun atmosphere

Athletes will be in an enthusiastic and supportive atmosphere.  Hard work doesn't have to be a burden!

Preparation for Summer Track and Fall Cross-Country races

Athletes will be prepared for Summer track meets, road races and Fall USATF age group Cross-country meets

Event Registration Details
June 23rd - 26th
Grades: 6th - 12th
Commuter Cost: $395 ($375 + $20 Fee)
Responsible for own lodging & meals

Overnight Cost: $475 ($450 + $25 Fee)
Will stay in dorms on campus and eat in cafeteria

The Harding coaching staff will offer 4 days of instruction in all aspects of Track and Field. 

While at camp we will place an emphasis on each of these areas:

Spiritual growth/   Warm-up/   Weight Training/

Core Strengthening/   Speed development/

Flexibility/ Power Training/  Endurance/  Goal Setting

Event work in every area except Pole Vault   (Vaulters go to www.3dhood.com for camp info)


Daily Activities

  • Technique Training – drills and activities for improvement in all events!
  • Event Work – World class instruction in Sprints, Hurdles, Throws, Jumps and Endurance
  • Lecture – Motivational and Informational speakers – goal setting, perserverance and inspiration
  • Supplemental Training – Core strength, flexibility, film study and pool training
  • Strength Training - Weight room instruction from Harding’s Strength coaches
  • Bible Study – Begin and end each day with food for the soul

Monday, June 23
  • 11:30 – 12:30 pm Register and check-in Room 111 in the Ganus Activity Center (next to the Football Stadium).
  • 12:30 – 1:15 pm Move into the dorms
  • 1:30 – 3:00 pm Lecture and general warm-up (no spikes)
  • 3:30 – 4:30 pm Guest speaker         
  • 4:45 – 6:15 pm Dinner
  • 6:30 - 8:00 pm Event work at the track
  • 8:30 – 9:00 pm Bible Study and devo
  • 9:00 pm Return to dorm
  • 10:30 pm Lights out
Tuesday, June 24
  • 7:45 – 8:15 am Breakfast in Rm 111
  • 8:30 – 10:00 am Event work at the track
  • 10:30 – 11:30 am Weight room
  • 11:45 – 1:15 pm Lunch   
  • 1:30 – 3:00 pm Break into groups for supplemental training
  • 3:30 – 4:30 pm Guest speaker                                                     
  • 4:45 – 6:15 pm Supper           
  • 6:30 – 8:00 pm Event work at the track

  • 8:30 – 9:00 am Meet at the track – warm-up
  • 9:00 – 11:00 am Camp competition
  • 11:00 – 12:00 pm Meet w/ coaches
  • 12:00 pm Depart

Overnight campers bring bedding (twin), towels and shower supplies.

All campers need to bring water bottles, sunscreen, Bible, and notebook (spikes are optional).

We will provide all equipment needed.    If you have any dietary or health restrictions, please let us know well before camp begins
